Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
The short version
- Room by Row has no accounts and no servers of our own. We don't collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress, scores and settings stay on your device.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device data to show and measure those ads. You decide whether apps may track you, and in the UK, EEA and Switzerland you also choose your ad consent.
- Purchases go through Apple, and leaderboards through Apple's Game Center. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Room by Row is made by Room by Row, based in the United States. In this policy, "we" means us. For any privacy question or request, email support@roombyrow.info.
What stays on your device
The game saves these on your iPhone or iPad only. We don't receive them:
- Your rooms, the furniture and seasonal decor you've collected, sparkles and re-rolls.
- Your best scores, daily-puzzle streak and badges.
- Your settings, such as music, sound, haptics and tile patterns, and whether you've bought Remove Ads.
- A log of game events (for example, a game started or a line was cleared) that helps with troubleshooting. It stays on the device and isn't sent to us.
To delete all of it, delete the app. You can also clear your room progress any time with Settings → Reset progress.
Ads from Google AdMob
Ads pay for the game. They're provided by Google AdMob. Some are optional: you can choose to watch a video for a fresh hand or double points. Others appear between games, and the Remove Ads purchase turns those off.
To show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the app collects:
- your device's advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking (see below)
- device and app information, such as the device model, iOS version, language and app version
- your IP address, which can show your approximate location (city or region)
- how you interact with ads, such as views and taps
Google handles this data under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Tracking and your choices
- Tracking permission. After your first game, the app explains ads and then shows Apple's "Allow Tracking" prompt. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, Google doesn't receive your advertising identifier and the ads you see are less personalised. The game plays the same either way. You can change this any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ad consent in the UK, EEA and Switzerland. Google's consent form asks for your choices before any ads load. You can change them later in the game's Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Ad measurement. The app uses Apple's SKAdNetwork, which tells advertisers in aggregate whether an ad led to an install, without identifying you.
Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your name or payment details, only Apple's confirmation that the purchase is active on your Apple account, so it can be restored on your devices. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, your scores go to the game's leaderboards and you earn its achievements. Apple runs Game Center, and what other players see follows your Game Center settings. We don't receive your Apple ID.
Reminders
If you turn on the daily-puzzle reminder, iOS asks for permission and the reminder is scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
Children
Room by Row isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the game in a way that sent their data to an ad partner, contact us and we'll help.
How long data is kept, and your rights
We don't keep any of your data, because none of it reaches us. Google keeps ad data according to its own policy. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or under California privacy law), you may have rights to access, delete or object to the use of your personal data. Use the choices above for ads, ask Google directly about data it holds, or email us at support@roombyrow.info and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling data differently, for example by adding an online feature, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
